In the first weekend of June, Venus, planet of beauty and love takes over as she meets up with asteroids Pallas Athena (wisdom), Eris (strife), Pythia (intoxication) and crazy planet Uranus (unexpected flashes of inspiration and surprises). Venus in Aries here is all about dynamic self-love and her joining this row of willful planets (called a stellium), gives her all the chutzpah to not care what others think and really have the confidence and insight to go forth and conquer new frontiers, ‘here I am and this is what I believe in my heart’, she says, maybe for the first time. Venus also has Saturn Retrograde in late Sag watching over her in a supportive trine aspect; like a quietly proud father who wants her to finally get her own lesson of ‘love yourself first’ with all your craziness. Saturn Retrograde here is carefully pointing out the issues we need to deal with and they will arise in this first week of June, but with Mars in Gemini opposing Saturn’s authority, we can expect some back chat. Be prepared for feisty discussions or hurtful quips that aim to tear down any new found self-empowerment; this is your time and it’s potentially very good.
However, it is Jupiter who holds the sway for most of June as the God of Abundance and higher learning is involved in several aspects, but also crucially, pivots around from the retrograde motion, to going forward in the second week of this month. What could be more serendipitous, after Venus has claimed her rights, than Jupiter, the giant planet of gifts, moving in the right direction? The forward or reverse action of Jupiter isn’t exactly backwards equals ‘no gifts’ and forward equals the flow of all your desires and dreams come true. Wouldn’t that be a fine thing! No, Jupiter works a little like the Law of Attraction, but due to its objective being the higher learning in all things, it will attract what you need as a lesson and not necessarily what you want in the bank account.
If Jupiter at 13’ Libra has been closing up to one of your planets or angles or you are indeed a mid-born Libra, you may have been waiting for 9th/10th June for this change of direction for a long time; think back to early February and any situations that took off at a different tangent then. The big planet’s movements will have far reaching effects and if anything you want is held up whilst you do yet more exasperating work, this will be the cause and effect of Jupiter as it opens up vistas of potential that we have to work our way through to get the sparkling gold on the other side.
A week after Jupiter stations direct, mystical planet Neptune goes retrograde and this in turn is activated by a conjunction with the Moon on 16th June UTC, which means we should pay attention, as Neptune at 14’ Pisces inconjuncts our friend Jupiter. There could be opportunities dropping in our lap as Jupiter comes into focus, slowly allowing the doors we have been knocking on, to prise open. Yet somewhere in the back of our mind, Neptune Retrograde and the Moon are making us feel a little queasy. Do we have all the information? Have we made a pact with the devil? There will be Piscean style uncertainty, but we will soldier on since Venus, now in mid-Taurus comes in to play once more in another inconjunct with Jupiter. So these two planets, Venus and Neptune are creating an arrowhead formation with Jupiter at the tip (called a Yod or Finger of Fate). This dynamic forces through new experiences and situations and that door of opportunity is flung wide open and anything is possible.
If you think you might escape this expansion, hang on a couple of days, following straight on from 21st June to the end of the month, the Yod to Jupiter dissolves and Mars, now in Cancer squares up to Jupiter and is then joined by Mercury and at the same time they both will be opposing Pluto in Capricorn. So you see that Jupiter is able to affect everyone via a series of planetary associations all month and whatever path has been taken, is now the basis for internal squabbles and manipulation, where nothing is really as straightforward as it seems. But keep your goals in sight and your mind open, Jupiter will be silently demonstrating, that the reason the Law of Attraction doesn’t always work, is because we are limited by our own imagination and a certain amount of surrender of fate will reap dividends, since despite this irritating struggle, Jupiter’s ideas are always so much bigger and better than our own.
